Find the drying guidance for your spool
Choose the material, then match the maker and exact product before setting the heat.
Start with the name on the spool, including any suffix such as CF, Silk or Blend. A material family is a useful filter; it isn't a drying instruction.
Choose a material
- PLA: check the formulation first
- PETG: use a maker-specific setting
- TPU: keep the dried spool protected
- Nylon and carbon-fibre nylon
- ABS and ASA
- PC and PVA
Read the table without guessing
The drying table keeps makers' recommendations separate. Select your spool's maker, then open its source to check that the product matches. Don't average two recommendations or substitute the hottest one.
Before buying equipment, compare the required drying temperature with the dryer's maximum, its supported spool dimensions and its operating instructions. A box that holds a spool may still be unable to dry that material.
If your product isn't listed, use its current data sheet or ask the manufacturer. An empty result is more useful than an invented setting.
